I've written before about the horrors of wrinkles (damn Ulta salesgirls) and you will notice the referenced post is from about this same time two years ago. When I find something that works - like the Bare Escentuals my mother turned me on to to cover up "pregnancy mask" - I tend to stay faithful. The moment the weather cools off enough to stop sweating before, during, and after every shower, I am suddenly and intensely interested in make up again. This new routine has gone above and beyond anything I've ever done before. It, of course, goes back to Ulta.

I walked in with one thing on my mind: Fix My Skin. I have skin that is prone to oily breakouts and I tend to use harsh things (cleaner, lotion and spot-fixer with salicylic acid and benzyl peroxide that have stainer/ruined all of my brown towels) to clear it up and then it gets dried out and I have to use greasy things to moisturize it. It's an awful, terribly cycle and I have been through everything in the face care aisle to help. Promise. The facial brush DOES DO WONDERS BUY ONE NOW but it is not enough on my skin.

I was turned on to Juice Beauty. Moderately price, the starter kit was great. You can read about it on their website - but I will go ahead and tell you that it is awesome. Time consuming and movie-starlette ridiculously awesome.

My winter make up routine: foundation, bronzer, blush, eyeliner, mascara, eye shadow, lipstick.

My new skin routine includes a twice weekly fruit acid peel (as totally amazing as it sounds. How can I moisturize DEAD skin cells?! Can't. A peel removes them and starts fresh, like whoa). My morning and night routine includes the wash, serum, and moisturizer - BEFORE putting any make up on.

All of the sudden I feel very high maintenance. I might even like it. Beauty.
